The room is slightly larger than the original Cellar (approximately 150 seats) and operates with the same booking philosophy — no announced lineup, same caliber of comedians, same two-item minimum. If the main Comedy Cellar is sold out, the Village Underground is the next best option for the same experience. The room has a more modern feel than the basement Cellar but maintains the same intimate atmosphere and the same possibility of a celebrity drop-in.
